Rear brake carrier

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the rear brake carriers are called: it's rubber with a but on end and it goes in and out when brakes are applied I have one seized

You mean the dust shield that covers the piston?

No there's 2 one on top and 1 on bottom of the brake carrier someone says there rubber boots but I don't know

pull the rubber back and smack the slider out with a hammer and screw driver wd40 works grease it up and stick it back in. u might have to give it a good beating but it does come out just did mine

what i usualy do when i come across seized sliders is beat them out with a hammer and chisel, find the corroct sized drill bit and carefully work the drill in and out to remove all the crap, bit of emery cloth on the slider, copper grease to stop it re-occuring.. job done
