I was at Allams earlier today and saw an Aqua Blue 1.2 TSi 'S' 59 plate for sale at £11995.

Twin exhausts on the base engine/trim!?

Yes the early production models all had twin tail pipes and Tiguan rear subframes. Later 2wd were Golf at the back.

Would that make our 11 plate 1.2S DSG, 3 month old demo car, at £14K, reasonable value ?

They gave us a great deal on our piece a **** 206 so overall we were delighted, especially as we had the car a week later.

In my book yes, as that's around a 2.5k saving on list and DSG's tend to hold their value that little more as there's less availability.

Back to Allams today in the storm to collect my Yeti. (so nice to drive compared to the gutless fabia greenline estate they gave me to run around in.)

They have a:

red 1.8tsi 4x4 SE

An Aqua Blue 1.2tsi SE?

a dark blue 1.2tsi S

Hi Mike

Had the greenline fabia estate last week for a day when the rear side window of the yeti got broken, I found the fabia greenline so gutless had to rev the b-lls of it to get into the next gear, and as for pulling away from a junction wait for a gap about a mile long before even attempting to go :dull: , and the engine noise in the cabin was really bad.

So Nice to get the yeti back B) , and cross that one off the list of possible cars to buy  . (sits back and awaits the bashing from the fabia greenline estate owners)

Also driven the GreenLine Fabia II FL and likewise was put off by the long gears, our 1.2TSI 85 although less efficient is much nicer to drive.

But the greenline 2 is so gutless that as Kevin says, you have to rev it so much it will end up being as economical as the 1.2tsi

The greenline I was driving was showing 48mpg average over a few hundred miles.

I could not live with one.
