Both these motors should be out by the end of the year according to the article

Should be intersting to read the first test between the VAG cars in both petrol and diesel forms

Octy V Golf V Leon !

and the sneak piccy of the vrs?? which is the optical tuning from the sport version. Well they must have worked hard getting all that info! nothing new really.

nearly as much torque as my 1.8T then, but about 80bhp* less :D

*all figures as provided by jabbasport and not created by myself :)

So its going to be a petrol or a diesel? Well, I could have said that - there ain't many other options :D

Steam? :D Gas Turbine?  Fill it up with Esso Blue :rofl:

I'm surprised nobody is crying about the fact there will be a diesel version.... how dare they put a diesel engine in a sports car like that eh? ;)

they'll probably have an advert with a trouser press chasing a guy round the city as well..... hang on a minute....

All of those who are big fans of diesel cars should remember one thing...that without a turbo of any kind, a diesel car is crap :D Petrol cars, on the otherhand, move without turbos...and when they DO have turbos, they FLY...

I'm waiting to see what kind of backlashes I'll be getting for this comment...especially from Fabia vRS owners...

I dont really see your point, to be honest... whats that got to do with the new Octavia?

So your torque figure is more the 258 lbs...sure you're not reading it in Nm as written on the plots?
