  1. I'll get the code reader plugged in when the ground is drier...OBD port is near the throttle pedal, I understand?
  2. My dash on my 2017 Superb 220Tsi DSG has thrown up an "Electronic Parking brake fault" message and, indeed, the parking brake doesn't work. Funnily enough, auto hold still works as long as the car is in gear. If I put it into neutral, auto hold disengages and I have to apply the footbrake. Any ideas? My first thoughts are directed towards the EPB electronic module.
  3. My Superb has been attacked by the local roads (aka surface of the moon) and has a broken front spring. Are the springs on a Superb with adjustable suspension the same as non-adjustable? It's a 2017 220Tsi SE L Executive. Thanks.
  4. What's involved in fitting the larger (and all round ventilated) brakes from a 280 to a 220?
  5. My 2017 SE Executive has the same problem, albeit intermittently. I don't know the solution!
  6. When I went out to the car (220 Executive) this morning all the windows were open by about 2 or 3 inches. They were shut when I left it last night. This is the first warm(ish) day since I bought the car - 19.5C. Is there some setting in Climatronic which cracks open the windows to cool the car when it gets warm? Climantronic is set to 18C. I can't see any mention in the handbook.
  7. Hi all. I can't change the Maxidot display on my SE Executive. When you turn on the ignition it shows the phone settings. If you click the menu button on the steering wheel the only option that comes up is the front driver aid and all you can do to that is disable it. No other options come up, even when you turn the right hand wheel control on the steering wheel. Any ideas?
  8. Done by Jim Curley at Star Performance at Dysart in Fife. They've been on the go for many years. I had my Octavia VRS done there back in 2005 and decided to go back with the Superb. Excellent value at £350 including a run on their 4 wheel rolling road.
  9. 285bhp and 448Nm. It was pretty fast to begin with but now, wow! Need better tyres, though. I'll do that after the holiday.
  10. Thanks for the comments so far - very helpful. The car is remapped - it has 285bhp and 448Nm and can currently trigger the traction control on a damp road at 60mph - yes, a 4x4 would have been nice, but I couldn't find one in my price range! I'll have to decide between an all-weather or a good summer tyre. I'm now retired, so don't make too many longish journeys. However, the in-laws live in Inverness which is 150 miles away on the A9 over a 1514 feet summit at Drumochter!
  11. Took it to see that nice man Jim Curley at Star Performance in Dysart (Fife). I am well pleased with the result!
  12. I've just bought a nice 17 plate Superb 220 SE Executive. It is fitted with RoadX tyres which are a Chinese brand. They aren't very good in the wet... Any recommendations for decent ones? I'm thinking Michelin or Goodyear. Size is 235/45/18.
  13. I've just bought a nice 2017 Superb 220 SE Executive. It goes well, but as a died in the wool power junkie, I want more power! I live in Central Scotland, so can anyone recommend a good remapper? I don't want to make any mechanical changes, just a map. Thanks in advance.
  14. As thread title. When did this change take place - year/registration? Thanks.
