Second Hand ECU

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking for some help here. I have the opportunity to buy a REVO stage 1 remapped AUQ ecu and wondered if it would just be a plug and play for my standard ecu or would it need to be synched (so to speak) to my car.

Obviously if its not a straight swap it would probably be easier and just as cheap to get my car REVO mapped instead. Many thanks in advance.

My car is standard apart from a CAI and 007p if it makes any difference map wise.

Needs to be codes unless its had the immo removed ;- )

Thanks for the offer of removing the IMMO.

I take it after that the ecu will then just plug in and be fine or will anything else need doing?

I'm in Dorset by the way, are you local to me as I may give you a shout mate.

Thanks again, Tony.

(tried to pm you but it won't send it from my phone for some reason)

There is a VRS Mk1 ECU on eBay with REVO map on, for £150.... dunno if this is the one the OP is looking at but it interests me too, considering the hassle I'm having trying to get a crap Elite Remaps map off my ECU!

To get the Immo delete done, does it just involve sending the ECU to one of you guys, who deletes it and returns it, then plugging it back into the car?

Yes, just a case of sending ECU, Will then be returned same day and will be plug and play. Revo cannot be matched to Immo as the Vin is matched to original car. The only way to use a 2nd user Revo map is to do the immo defeat. Hope this helps

Your mailbox is full and you can't accept any new messages (tried PMing you). ;)

Mailbox cleared :-)

I bought a second hand revo ecu of black vrs. Top bloke and very quick. Highly recomended. Literally plug n play. Gav

Dont forget to tell the insurance about the remap and the immo defeat as the car without an immobiliser becomes very easy to steel and can simply be hotwired like the old days.

Crooklok it is then! :)
