Octavia Vrs rear window tints

Today saw my 3 week old octavia have its first slight modification if thats what you can call it which was the rear widows being done medium tint to give that factory look i am after and i am chuffed to bits with the result exactly how i wanted....

Next post will be the wheels powdered coated black in about 2 weeks when i return from holiday :)

Looks spot on Rob, makes a big difference, I done the same to mine after a few weeks of picking up from dealer, haven't done anything since (18 months later!!) ;o)

What % are those? I've been putting off doing mine until I change it, which should be in the next week or so now. Possibly want a little bit darker than that but not too much - fitter has suggested 15% VLT but that just sounds quite a lot to me.....

Im not 100% i think its 35% maybe a big darker, they just perfect for me as wanted it like my fabia before which you could tell was tinted but also could see straight through the other side, think the tint film is some thing like solar guard maybe and place that did it just said its medium.

Cheers mate, i tend to leave my cars however feel a lot of the octavias look the same if you get me so like to add my own touch to up the spec slightly

;) great minds think a like, i think we spoke about them a bit ago before i got the octavia, looking forward to getting wheels powder coated now. I must say i really do like the red :) especially now with the tints

Yeah, it looks great when it is freshly polished and waxed! There was one at my local dealer with black wheels and i have to say it looked good....not something i would do myself though but i really want to get some plastidip for the grill. Trouble is, nowhere in the UK has any stock at the moment.

Yeah, i popped in to the swindon dealer when i was passing and they had one but they had took the wheels off so couldn't see it, plasti dip uk are getting some in week commencing 18th they told me, ill be out waxing later i think
