We were deeply unimpressed by our local VW dealership. Shortly after the car's launch, I went down to have a look at the Up. When we asked when the 5 door would be available (knowing full well June), he said "They've talked about doing a 5 door, but not for another 2 or 3 years". What an absolute lie. Or simply plain ignorance - neither of which are good traits from a car salesman. Put me off completely. I like the Up, but the aftersales and availability of options for the Citigo, plus the improved value for money, sway me completely towards the Citigo.

Didn't take any options as the car was already built and on its way to dealer. Got to say though that it is really impressing us, were out last night for a fair drive and recorded an avg mpg of 60.2. Excellent considering I don't hang around. The ride is very very good and it's just a great car to drive. Getting a few things done to it this week so will post some pics up when done.

Which 1 did you drive 75ps?

I managed 57mpg when i drove a 60ps with all 4 seats taken up, so am expecting good mpg

Just cant wait for september now

Ordered my 3door Elegance 60ps green tech in metallic green with a spare wheel option on Sunday 10th June as it was about to be/ just been built. Have been informed today it's on the train between Czech Republic and Emden.

Originally wanted to order the car in red with beige interior but was told I would have to wait about 12/14 weeks, so I took the one that is ready, I already have a six month wait for my Yeti and didn't want to wait months again.

Got to say that I was really impressed with the car when I tested it and am looking forward to delivery date.

The five door UP! has been available to order since last Monday. My mum ordered the first one from our local (pleasant) VW dealer. Car should arrive for September delivery. Similar delivery was promised against a five door Citigo but she went for the UP!.

White Dove in Cardiff, where I ordered mine, had a sales target of 28 Citigos by the end of the year from launch. They had sold 19 in a fortnight! (18 5 doors and my 3 door). Selling very well!
