Hi All

I am on the brink of ordering a new Superb Elegance Estate in 2.0 TD 140HP 4x4 DSG guise.

I am always wary of the economy figures quoted in the brochures, and was wondering if anyone out there has got some real-life economy figures they can post to give me a bit on a guideline as to what to expect.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I wouldn't say I drive particularly fast, but like to get along. Mainly 10 - 40 mile journeys, usually on clear roads before or after peak traffic (joys of starting work at 6am!! and finishing at 2pm)

Have the 170dsg, with 700 miles on it. Got 50.3mpg on motorway run and about mid44-47 in town. If you use kickdown, it drops by about 5%. Otherwise, pretty much as promised. Hopefully the 140 is the same. 170 will spin its wheels on take-off, so 140 may be a good bet. Consumption will be down a little though. Enjoy.

I get around 50mpg on my 4x4 170CR manual.

I have the 140 engine in the estate guise but not 4x4 nor DSG. However the figures in my Fuelly account will give you an idea
