urg sticky wipers?

Featured Replies

it seems My linkage/motor is sticky on the front as my front wipers have decided to start playing up. They quite often refuse to start moving. It seems putting them to the fast setting sometimes gets them going then i can slow them down and they carry on. Occasionaly they get stuck halfway up if i turn the wipers off aswell.

Is it possible this is linked to me putting a new rear motor in? Well actually its a golf mk4 motor. everything is the same but it wipes the opposite direction. Electrics went in first time aswell.

It's more likely that the spindles are sticking and need some grease. If you disconnect the motor from the linkage you will know for sure.

Do it it sooner rather than later or you may end up damaging the motor.
