vacuum leak?

Featured Replies

right been started the long process of chaing alot of pipes in the bay , for silicone and removing SAI n112 N249 evap etc , whats the deal with the pipe that comes off the end of the inlet mannifold and goes all the way back to the break slave cylinder? i have a split pipe along the route its right on top of the sendond non return valve , could i replace that line with silicone vacumme hose ? or what does it even do ? could it just be blanked off ?

regards sean

Sounds like its the brake servo pipe, what are your brakes like if its split?

Are you following Rob's how to guide? Thought all the details on there? If not look for pimp my skoda

Can't say I notice any difference in breaks but looks like its been split for awhile only owned car about 7 months so could have always been split !

Anything brake related i would sort asap, if you can get some silicone hose to fit then that will do but i bought some when i did my bam manifold swop and it was really thick and looked stupid so i ended up buying proper pipe in end,

If i remember right i think its 17mm bore pipe you need

I took this pic for you today as i noticed your post this morning sean, this pipe just pulls clean out. making sure you replace the 1 way valves you can replace it all with silicone. You could replace it from the servo but i cannot be arsed! I only did this as the solid pipe was in the way of my catch can.

hope this helps mate.

When replacing the brake servo pipe it must be reinforced silicone pipe or it will sick flat causing loss of brakes ;-)
