Sony XAV-60 Double DIN DVD Headunit SOLD!

Featured Replies

This was purchased new on 26/11/2011 from Halfords for £254.92, so will still by under waranty - the receipt will be included.

I still have the original box and instruction manuals and the SensMe CD.

I found it to be a very good head unit and the onboard amp is plenty powerful enough for the speakers producing good bass and overall sound.

The only thing, due to the insane amount of wires from the pre out plug in the back it wouldn't fit into my dash! It just wasn't going to happen. So I cut the the pre outs off as each one was about 4inch long leaving just the one for the sub. And also the AUX in was cut.

It suited me just fine as all i wanted was a sub rather than amps galore in my boot.

The Handbrake sensor wire has been wired to the ground on the ISO cable.

Theres a built in ~1m long USB cable which you can connect any usb mp3 or memory stick to and also an iPod lead to use youre iPhone/Pod.

Heres a link to the specs - http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&partNumber=XAV60

And also a link to the pre out connectors on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-XNV-660BT-XNV-L66BT-XNV-770BT-XNV-L77BT-XAV-60-RCA-Pre-Out-Lead-AUX-Preout-/300717473851?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item460428803b
