Has anyone ever fitted a switch to a tuning box? I have a TDI tuning box for my 1.4TDI. It works very well, but even when turned right down the car is a bit shaky at tickover when cold compared when running without the box. The box gives great torque and makes towing much easier. Could I fit a switch to turn off the box until the engine is hot? It seems possible, but would it confuse the ECU or cause any other problems?

Any comments appreciated.

There have been a number of posts in the Facebook Skoda Karoq Owners Group recently related to the appearance on the infotainment screen when starting the car of a message about Data Tracking. I too have had this but it has now stopped. Then a new longer message referring to EU data protection and sharing - that was the gist I think as I didn’t take a photo and it’s no longer being displayed. Adding this for anyone that comes across the same issue. Noticed a slightly extended crank a day or so ago, along with a few seconds worth of poor idle and then ran as normal. Checked for codes, and none showing. Checked plugs when I got home again and all ok. Checked the lpfp count and was at or around 50% at idle. No hesitation or misfires and none detected on scanner. Hello, recently my air conditionor kinda stopped working. In the morning or in the evening everything works just fine, normal operation. In the middle of the day, being hot outside (30 to even over 40 degrees outside temperature), when i start the car, for 10-20 seconds everything works, after that a noise like a buzz starts to hear from around the middle of the car. The fan for air conditioning and heater on my 2006 Octavia Mk2 L&K is not working. I have checked the fuses and they are OK. Does it have a relay that might have failed? I am hoping it is not the fan unit itself, as this seems to be peculiar to RHD models with climatronic and was discontinued by Skoda in 2022. (Part no. 1K2 820 021).
