Hi All

Featured Replies

I've been a member for some time now, mainly used the site for research etc. (There are a lot of faulty cars out there!!) I've had Skodas since 1999, first a petrol Octavia, very nice, still going strong after 11 years & was only traded in for something smaller for the offspring to learn to drive in. Overlapping that I have a Superb 1.9 TDi 130 BHP, a quality limo, but rather large for our roads & adequate parking spaces. I'm trading that in for a Fabia 1.2 TSi 105 BHP - what are the real world consumtion figures likely to be? I chose the Fabia as the overall size will now do me & both the TSi engines appear to drive very well & I did not want to push the boat out for a VRS. Mostly I drive quite steadily, the best I got from the Octavia was 50 mpg on a run, however the Superb I can manage (in the warm weather) over 67 mpg without too much effort.

Hi Spinna, I'd looked at that, Honest John is a pretty good site & a good weekly read to boot. I used to update to it, but let that slip, so as I'm changing my car I've set myself a resolution to keep it up & I'll also sign up to fuelly.com & ensure I keep on top of it. I know mpg isn't everything but use of a heavy right foot just pushes more money they way of the taxman.

Hi and welcome aboard.
