Featured Replies

As title really has anyone else tried this?

I'm going to do it for my brother soon, but am interested to see if it's been done before?

Thanks

Charlie

I know a old member did it on his and changed everything to blue like golfs,his username was eddy h so if you do a search I think he even did a guide on how to do it but it was quite a few years ago now

I have to admit - I like the white!

I changed mine to this;

by following EddyH's guide.

Is your cd player factory fit or did you originally have the tape version?

Are the dials and climate controls out of a golf mate ?

It came with a tape player when I bought it but replaced it with a Symphony CD MP3 player from a Superb.

Dials are from a Mk 4 Golf and have the half height MFD centre display.

Climate control is also from a Golf but with the Skoda front panel.

Are they a straight swap ? And is it an easy job ?

The dials will need to be coded to your immobiliser, I got my local dealer to do it for me.

The climate controls will probably need coding too as when I swapped them over the air con wasn't blowing cold. I mentioned it to my dealer when he was doing the dials and he said he would code them too.

Other than the switches above the radio the rest are a straight swap from a Mk 4 Golf.

Thanks for the help mate. :thumbup:
