instrument cluster LCD display question

Featured Replies

right, this might be a daft question, but here goes

just got my clocks back from repair, having had them completely die even with fuse 15 out

they all work fine now, im happy, la la la

but, when i turn the ignition off and pull the key, the clock and the mileage on the lcd displays stays on. not illuminated like when the lights are turned on, but just on, there to be seen.

now iv never had the car with fuse 15 in, so whenever iv turned ignition off, its cut the power so the lcd displays have gone instantly off. but now im paranoid the lcd displays are meant to go off, at least when i lock the car, like the interior light would?

somebody please tell me its ok for them to stay on lol is this normal?

Should be on permanently :)

thank god for that! lol thanks dude! i feel bad now for being an arse to the repair company haha

for reference tho, anybody after cluster repairs, cartronix are bang on, cheapest anywhere, and stupidly quick turnaround time!

i have a problem also that my lcd screen which is between millage & rpm ,goes dark & black after a short drive this is when it is hot weather but in winter it stays a while to turn to be black
