No RHD 1.8 Tsi DSG!

Featured Replies

Knowing you can't get this combo of engine and DSG box in the UK I looked around to see if Skoda actually made it in RHD.

I know you can get the 1.8 Tsi DSG in some parfs of Europe and Russia, but LHD only.

Seems no Yetis in Japan and only petrol for sale in Austrailia is the 1.2, so I'm wondering what the chances are of getting the 1.8 DSG any time soon... doesn't look good. :(

It would be something I would consider next time round if available, or even a greenline with DSG.

Actually Australia has the 1.8 DSG (150hp/112kw) available. I test drove one last weekend. I was all set to buy one but came across what is very similar to your Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 140PS 4x4 with Panoramic Roof, Navigation and Park Assist for a price I could not refuse.

The 1.8 DSG is in the brochure on the Australia Skoda website, but it is not called out on the site itself. It only came out in May this year. If you search using Google's Australian site (.com.au) for Yeti 112TSI you will find plenty of reviews.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Desmo.

Interesting they have started to do a RHD version recently...

(how much to import to the UK? ;) )

You won't want to after you see our prices...

I'm just optimistic that if the vehicle is now available in RHD Skoda UK may actually decide to add it to the line up at some stage.

We need to email SUK and tell them what we want. They don't come to Briskoda. The more people telling them what we want the more chance of them considering it...

My dealer is meeting them on Wednesday, so I have put in a request. :)

I'll follow that up with an email when I get the response.

It's a start....

A remapped 1.8tsi & DSG. Now that's better, but about 550bhp short of what your GTR should be pushing out after it has been fettled
