Door module problem

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a le vrs fabia so use this site for help.

I also have a 2003 polo, which is a fabia in discise so hopefully i can post this question on here as the parts concerned I would imagine are used on the fabia, cupra, leon etc.

I found after some searching the common fault for the lights not beeping when you turn the engine off and open the door, and the interior light not coming on when you open the door is the micro switch on the lock module.

I have taken the door lock module out. The micro switch goes open and close circuit as you would imaging it would do as the door latch is moved. I checked this with the resistance beeper on a multi meter and pushing through the wire with a thin pin.

I don't think it can be the microswitch. Is it possible to be the electronic box within the module? Or any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Interior light works otherwise so can't imagine its a fuse. Any ideas before buying another module and hoping?

Don't really want to leave the lights on and get out!!!

Thanks Dave
