Forge 007p Pipe Chaffing

Featured Replies

I've recently fitted a Forge 007p and when i checked it today, the top rubber hose seems to be rubbing on the underside of the plastic engine cover. I know some people relocate them, but I don't really want to go down that route. Has anyone experienced this and is there another soloution?

Cheers in advance.

Mine was like it years, didn't cause any problems

Yeah mine is the same. rubbed on underside of cover, but I have removed my cover now.

could try some vacuum hose as bit more flexible

Ok two options. 1 leave engine cover off or 2 Forge do a adjustable cap for the 007p which lets the vac pipe exit sideways instead of upwards.

Third option trim the engine cover

My engine cover was trimmed when I got the car and I didn't notice till I took the cover off lol

£40!!!!!

I think I'll trim the engine cover!

Yer is trim it too seem cheapest and most simple to achieve the look you are going for

I thought about trimming the cover or drilling a hole where the pipe catches and feeding it through, I like the idea of keeping the whole cover!

Insulation tape works OK.

If you don't want to trim the engine cover try a cable tie around the hose were it is rubbing.

I first trimmed the rear of cover and rounded it off looked ok
