Window regulator calibration

Featured Replies

Greetings all.

I have just replaced the o/s rear window regulator assembly on my mk 1 octy.

it now works perfectly from the switch on the door, however, it will not work from the drivers control pannel, and the central locking does not work on the o/s r door.

i am sure i read somewhere that the regulator needs to be calibrated, but cant find the info. Everything worked perfectly before i changed the regulator.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

Aha! found a post on how to calibrate. It seems you just need to close the window, and then keep the button pressed for a further 10 seconds. However, it would seem that the motor on the new regulator, although working perfectly, is incompatible with my car.

I re fitted the old motor to the new regulator, and hey presto... its back to how it was before. yippee
