Info on the VRS I am purchasing

Featured Replies

Morning all.

I am picking up my VRS on Saturday. It was registered September last year.

Petrol Hatch in Race Blue, has the Bolero stereo, front rear parking sensors and full sized spare. Don;t think there is anything else that isn't the standard spec.

So is that what is known as a FL Octavia II ?

Being registered last September is it likely to have the revised DV installed from the factory ?

Looking at probably retro fitting the Sat Nav and I'd like to add Bluetooth which I assume I should be able to add the VW module to the Sat Nav once installed.

I'd also like to install a MFSW but Skoda for some odd reason only have that as an option with DSG, seems a very odd restriction to me, can other models be used ?

My old A3 has Xenons so I suspect upgraded bulbs will also be on my list, as will be wrapping the chrome on the front grill.

Any info gratefully received.

Thanks.

Paul

Yes, its a FL (facelifted) octavia II, also known as the Tsi (vs. the older pre-FL which has the TFSI (BWA) engine) which skoda also refer to as CCZA. It's also a 1Z model if that helps.. oh and the newer engine is EA888 like a mk6 Golf GTI where the older pre-FL cars have the same engine as a mk5 Gti which is EA113 (which lives on in the scirocco R and golf R and golf ED35).

:)

My 2010 FL didn't come with the latest "d" type diverter but an swap is only about 40 quid. The part numbers are on here somewhere if you search.

MF wheel - yep, dealer can't help. http://www.skodateile.cz/ has a FL vRS MF wheel without paddles. I'm going to order one for my next car..

HTH.
