drivers door STILL stuck. ****! ****! *******s! etc

drivers door has been stuck closed for a while, and i thought it was just the cable unhitching itself or something. after finally managing to remove the door card (with a dremel) i can now see that the cable is still attached and the inside handle appears to be working correctly, but it just wont open the door. when i try the outside handle nothing happens, not that i can see anyway. so im thinking its the mechanism itself, question is how the **** does it come off without the door being open. getting to the point of considering actually paying a mechanic to do this now as its ******* me right off and im out of ideas.

any ideas would be much appreciated
