Re mapped octavia vrs tdi

Featured Replies

Had my 2010 octavia vrs tdi re mapped on Monday. Wow, what a difference, took it up to around 205bhp with around an extra 60flbst.

When I give it hard through the gears it seems to lose power in 3rd,4th&5th gear between 4&5k revs? Unsure what it is but the chap that re mapped it is gonna take a look as he thinks it's a exhaust temp sensor cutting the fuel out.

That said, once he's sorted it will be loving it even more. :-)

could be heat soak if you've been caning it....

What's that? Is that todo with temp sensors on exhaust?

As you are canning it, the intake temps are increasing, if the intercooler isn't up to the remap, it may get hot enough for the ecu to reduce power, as hotter air = less dense so less power, ecu will reduce fuelling to match...

The cure is a bigger intercooler...

Surely such a small increase in power shouldn't make the inter cooler inadequate??

Bigger intercooler isnt required for this mild re-map. Probably a sensor or something. Who maped it for you?
