oem steel wheels

Featured Replies

i've got a set of four oem steel wheels, i no longer need due to upgrade to alloys.

how much are they worth if i take them to a scrap metal yard or not waste time and just bin them?

perfect opportunity to get yourself some winters ;)

i had that in mind but i don't want to wast money on a set of winter tyres, all the hassle swapping them.

i bought some nankangs off mytyres for £200 delivered, £8 each to fit to wheels and whilst your using these in the winter your saving wear and tear on the expensive alloys/tyres fitted

only took me about 45 mins to change and im a complete n00b

failing that im sure somebody would love these off you, i'd doubt there worth much as scrap due to weight but you could always ask, seems a shame though :( from what i can remember they cost about £45 each off the stealers

i don't have the space to store them. i just want to get rid of them (and the 4x oem wheel covers)

they were taken off a new car only a few months old at 8k miles, and been in the little shed ever since. right i think i'm ging to give them to the van that comes round, the 'any old iron' calling van

edit: failing that, anyone know any scrap metal dealers who might take steel wheels..

They are not worth a great deal TBH, but someone would be grateful for them for winters.

Put them in here:

Free Stuff.

Selling the wheel covers and also condition?

What size are the wheels and what size tyres are run with them??

Yeah, don't bin them! Put them up on the classifieds here. There's plenty of people who'd be glad of set for winter wheels and are far more deserving than the bloomin pikeys

Shame I was passing through Staff's at the weekend, would have bought them off you; winters are handy round here.

to jonny5, they are 15 by 6, and the oem tyre size that originally cam on them was 195-55-15. They are bare rims

there's usaully a van that comes round every now and then, usually with two guys, the passengers shouts out the window 'any old iron, any any old iron' and sometimes he has a tune playing that sounds like an out of tune ice cream van. Now, I could do with that van coming round. does anyone know what i'm talkiong about.

. . . and they'll be back before weekend for your alloys?

i hope not. i know they can probably get my alloys off even with two locking bolts on each wheel

Someone on here would be grateful for these to fit winter tyres and give you a few £££.

IMHO much better than giving away to scrapman who I'm sure would sell them.
