Cleaning seats....?

Featured Replies

I have to say I think the Fabia SDi I own is the worst car I've ever had in regards to an interior which marks far to easily.

The seats are no exception either. They're covered in various water marks and stains. I'm guessing other owners have come across this too and so I'm wondering what the best way is to clean them and remove all these water marks and stains?

Many thanks!:)

The Mk1 Fabia vRS was a nightmare keeping the seats clean.

For the watermarks, the best thing is to clean the entire seat (i.e. get the whole thing wet), then it dries uniform looking.

If your doing it yourself and it's not too badly marked, the tins of foam cleaner with a brush attached, out halfords etc are okay.

For best results though, get a car valeting place to shampoo the seats (most of the smaller ones will do this on its own relatively cheap without having to pay full valet prices).

Onlly thing is, to get the damp out the car afterwards, you need the heating on high and air conditioning running for a long time.

Once clean, the 'scotchguard' or equivelant spray cans are reasonably good at keeping the seats stain free.

Use "all purpose cleaner" foam and rub with damp microfiber towel. If water stains are still there, you can use wet-vac machine ;)
