Superb 1.8TSI Elegance DSG with sport package(but no multi steeringwheel?)

Featured Replies

Good day everyone :)

I was ----><---- close to signing a deal for a brand new Superb 1.8TSI DSG Elegance today, but things doesn't seem to work out.

One of my demands was sport suspension and the Superb can be bought with the Sportpackage containing sportsuspension, sport steeringwheel and alu pedals. me and the seller agreed that the sport steeringwheel must be delivered with multifunktional for the radio and phone since if that was not the case it would extremely unlogical...

Seller checked with HQ in our country and no... No multifuktional buttons on the sport steeringwheel.

Is this really true? i really cant believ this my self as the car i testdrived was an 2.0TDI Elegance DSG with multifunktional sport steeringwheel.

Anyone here have the Superb with Sport steeringwheel wilth multifunktion?

Thank for all your help :)

Brgds Jan

Norway.

My car has multifunction sports wheel with paddles, I have changed suspension to 30mm and changed pedals to sport pedals (alu pedals) see Superb vRS which is on this site.

Thank you for the info. The seller now claims that the Navi(called amundsen here) headunit wont work with the multifunctional steeringwheel. I find this srange since the Elegance has Multi steeringwheel from factory with the same headunit.

What headunit do you have?

Thanks :)

That is rubbish. I own a MJ2012 Elegance 1.8 TSI DSG with Amundsen+, MDI, premium carkit, 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and flappy paddles, and it all works perfectly together.

Only the cruise-control buttons are rubbish (but that's got nothing to do with your issue), they should have been on the steering wheel, and there should be a separate resume button. Our second car, a Renault Twingo, which cost only 1/3 of the Superb, has a much better solution for this. Furthermore, in the Renault you can simply see the cruise-control-speed on the display, a feature that I really miss in the S2C.

I have the columbus which is standard in the UK, I think the amudsen has the bluetooth built in to the head unit and the columbus is under the front seat.
