clutch question

Featured Replies

Hi peeps have any of you had this trouble with your clutch? When im driving along its fine no problem but when i stop and need to do a manover it can be a pain in the arse to get into reverse.Im not having to rag it in to gear its just a bit stiff (pardon the pun)...lol....And ive noticed that if im at a stand still and just go between first and reverse back and too theres a dull thud as it goes into either gear.Any ideas???? The cars only got 58 on the clock buyt it has has a remap and i have towed a caravan for the last 15,000 miles, not continually but once a month or so for the last coulpe of years.

.

Do you have the same issue selecting the gears with the engine off?

Any ideas????

If it doesn't happen with the engine off it points more to the clutch.

Great more expense......lol...

Don't know if this helps mate but I've just had a Sachs clutch and DMF fitted at Lion Garages (of which there's a few dotted around the midlands area) for only £630, which is a lot cheaper than the next nearest quote I had.

My car was doing the exact same thing you described before I had it done...

Its not slipping yet so i think i will wait a bit until it starts to or get worse getting into reverse.......
