Skoda's hold there value

Featured Replies

Only diesels in that list. Petrols aren't in the equivalent top five, unfortunately.

It does not bother me as the petrols are loads cheaper to buy in the first place.

Im considering a 2011 1.8 TSI... that is if they have not been snapped up!

Smug grin mode.

Yep, petrols are a bargain

When the Octavia 3 arrives...expect a big fall in value

Should have got that £7k 08 hatch, nothing has come up close since.

When the Octy 3 arrives ALL prices will fall... and again the "used" petrols will be loads cheaper than the diesels so I might hang on a year or so

Price when new - £20,100

Price after three years/37,000 miles - £14,200

Price drop/% residual value - £5,900/70.7%

i think that is a load of bull. when does a 59reg octavia cost £14200?

My CR DSG cost £17,500 new last July as a pre-reg. At the time I actually couldn't find a petrol cheaper.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a race blue, petrol VRS, DSG with PDC for less than that?

Current car idea is to get a 1.8 TSI and remap.

In my eyes a real Q car. Can get relatively new ones for £12K, SE Plus - LOTS of these about - just lacking cruise control which would be the only thing i'd miss...

The fastest unmodded Skoda there is, and also the thirstiest returning about 23 mpg!

However its an awful lot of car for the money and as rare as hens teeth!

Does anyone think I could struggle to sell my September 2008 58 reg 1.8 Elegance TSI... not one reply off the site would have taken £5k

Not many 1.8 TSI`s had all the toys as I suspect many were lease cars in "just" Elegance spec, very very few L&K cars about and they were mainly diesels.

we were going to p/x ours but after the dismal offers we have had we are going to save up and keep ours as well.....

we have a white estate diesel which are supposed to hold there money well.....diesel which also helps dsg, xenons totally mint only 5500 miles but got offered as low as 14k against a new superb so we are keeping it getting it sharked in sept and just put roof dvd in for the little fella to keep him happy.

We have had a few new cars and understand trade/ retail but some just take the p******

so we will keep it until the wheels fall off :giggle:

Limited numbers looking on here and not all are local enough to consider the car.

Looks like we are going to have to change sooner than we thought, so extending our requirements from just :L&K. and also looking at lower mileage since all the high ones we have looked at have been tatty or pricy.

Looking at an 08 1.9 Elegance DSG 30k £8kish Mon.
