I haven't driven hers for ages but today I took the car to work,

Boy Oh Boy have i forgotten just how good the Mk1 is.

Ive been tempted by a Mk2, but a Mk1 still ticks all the boxes for me :)

The mk2 is a superior car imo

In what way? It looks fat, less sporty and I find the interior boring. lol

Mk1 has a meaner, sleeker look and the interior has the proper blend of hard plastics that you should find in a sporty hatch, plus its a more driver focused car to drive lol

Sure the Mk2 has extra power but if you spend the extra you would no a Mk2 on performance mods on the Mk1 it will beat it hands down lol

Well, first is better sound insulated,it's more stable taking corners ,and is more refined.

lol I know m8 not getting at you. My preference is a sporty comfortable drive which the Mk2 lacks in the sporty bit, but the looks is what I think lets it down the most, looks like someone just enlarged random bits of the Mk1 lol
