Greenline II estate on order

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have just ordered a GLII estate and was wondering if you can advise me on a couple of things:

  • The headlights have a DE module, what is it, and can they be adjusted for driving in europe?
  • Does anyone know of a good place, or dealer, to have a towbar fitted to the car in the Southampton area?

Will be picking the car up at the start of next month (if all goes well), and straight off to France we go!

The DE module I think refers to the Projector style headlamps.

Like this:

Vs normal lights without:

I have a feeling that they can't be adjusted for european driving unlike the Octavia and Superb.

Phil

will have a look on my greenline headlights

my dealer is quoting £350 for a fixed or £500 for a removable towbar, they are in maidstone kent so unfortuantely no use to you

one thing to check is if they are going to use the oem wiring loom as i believe if that is not used you can't get the nice to have with the coding like disabling the fog light on the rear or disabling of the parking sensors when a trailer is attached

and check whether they will be doing the coding, but worst case someone with VCDS can probably sort that for you

the projectors you posted Phil, have that little cut out on the outer edge of the projector.. these are the "cornering" headlamps :) mine are the same, but without the cut out :)

Thanks for the info on the headlamps and tow bar, at least I know what a DE module is now. If only my local dealer offered towbar installation at £350 life would be rosy, they want in excess of £500 for a standard type, so goodness only knows what they would quote for a removable bar!
