Revo Stage 2? Difference?

Featured Replies

Hi all, i currently have a Mk1 Octavia RS with a Revo Stage 1 remap. Im thinking of going to stage 2, and i was wondering if anyone would know what the drive is like being compared to stage one???? As i dont want my Octy to be too laggy.. I was told by Revo i'd get an extra 30 or so BHP, and 30-40lbs ft of torque.

Replies are greatly appreciated :)

they actually told you 'extra 30hp'? The only thing they ever told me was that the car is going to run better, when I asked in terms of numbers what will be the difference, they never told me, they just said that the car will utilize all the mods better (whatever that means)

If anyone would actually tell me that the difference was huge and not placebo, I would actually consider going for Stage 2

Sorry you will be disapointed if you are chasing lot's more bhp as you will not get a extra 30 BHP more like 15-20bhp but you will get more torque a hell of a lot more up to 30% which is why the stage 2 is far better than stage 1 as the torque is what makes the car feel much faster.

The result is like going from a std car to stage 1 again. You will also only pay a small cost as you already have the stage 1 software which is the plus point as well. I was very happy with mine but just changed to Shark as want to map out various delete mods.

trust me it is worth it

You should also consider the extra tuniing mods to get best potential from the stage 2 which is:

4Bar FPR

FMIC

performance cat back exhaust

Optional Sports cat /downpipe or decat pipe

Thanks for the replies :-). And yes, he actually said "30 to 40bhp" lol I see, seems like stage 2 is worth it then. The only issue I have is that, I don't want to pay a fortune for a brand new full decat exhaust, therefore I asked Revo if I can just decat the standard exhaust, and they said this was fine. Therfore I will be changing the standard downpipe to a decat downpipe along with decatting the standard exhaust. Doing this, will I lose alot of power??

I do like my stage 2 Revo and yes i do find a big difference between stage 1 and 2 remaps

But as said bud, youd be looking around 225-230bhp , its the the drive and pull you'd notice :)

If its still £150 to upgrade then yeah go for it

My mpg varies so hard to say on that anything from 12-42 lol :D

But i do see the 30 figure often mate

Revo make a lot of bull**** claims so take the numbers with a pinch of salt.

Which is why I went for a Shark Re-map!!

I believe it is a lot cheaper than that? If I recall correctly, last time I asked they said £50

Yes it is £50 as that is what I paid, and for £50 it is defo worth it...

Not sure what you mean there buddy. There is only 1 cat on the car which is attached to the std downpipe. The std Downpipe is the worst restriction on the whole car so pointless decating that. A decat exhaust /downpipe is less than £100 so I would just get that. As for the system back from the cat to the end of car this is less restrictive so if funds are tight leave it and get as mentioned a decat or at least a sports/cat and downpipe(If you want to be MOT friendly) Then later get a better system as you will see a slight improvement with one.

I am ready for stage 2. Will be calling skark in the next week or 2.

Was going to go for hybrid k04 but was looking at 3k in parts and labour.

My next plan is a Hybrid K03s and then remap my Shark map again
