Changing indicator bulbs

Hi, I've a FL Scout with factory xenons, and I need to replace the off side indicator bulb.

Checked manual (even though I've a good idea how to remove the light unit), but it says that with xenons, it's a specialist job!

Sooo is it a specialist job, or is it a case of yes you can do it, but be ruddy careful??

If its the latter, what do I need to avoid, be careful of? As according to the manual "death" could result, and I don't fancy that today!
