So this may be a bit cheeky but I'm chancing my arm.......as the people on here are just unreal helpful.

Also, this is my 2nd time attempting this, the last time I did, another member kindly helped me ( thanks adamal ) .............but the car was sold before he got the chance to view it.

I live in Ireland and want to buy a 2009 Skoda Octavia 1.8 tsi hatchback manual...........and believe it or not but there are currently none of these particular cars available in Ireland

So I have to make my way across the pond to buy one of these cars. As I have to do this, it's not really handy for me to go and simply view the car.........so here is my cheeky question :

Is there anyone in the Yeovil/Somerset area near Heritage Skoda that could just go in and have a look at the car, start it, see if it sounds ok and just check the general condition of the car and check if genersl stuff is working (ac, radio etc ) ?

Maybe Heritage is near you or on your way home from work and may be easy to get to etc

Why don't you pay for something an AA check? I had a good offer accepted when I bought my wifes Fiat 500 on the condition that it got the all clear from an AA check. It did, so I made the journey to pick it up. I live about 30 miles from Heritage, but I couldn't tell you if it was a lemon or not, I leave that to the experts.

Corbo, I do plan on engaging the AA, but before I get to that stage and paying the AA 200 pounds, I'd like to just make sure that the car is kind of ok first, if you know what I mean
