has anyone got the trim for the bottom of the windscreen as i cracked mine doing the pollen filter.......Or know of somewhere i will get one???

I spent ages trying to get my battery out carefully without breaking it. And I managed to.

Only when I put the battery back, by myself, due to the sheer weight I cracked it :(

I tried removing the trim, even took the wipers off, but couldn't see how the trim came off.

it justs pulls away from the screen....

After removing the wiper arms (puller may be needed) there are two metal clips which need to be released before the trim can be removed. The trim is extremely brittle and is easily broken if an attempt is made to bend it. Lubricate the location at the bottom of the glass with WD-40 or similar and remove the two small trims fitted to the bonnet hinges so that the main trim can be removed rearwards.

The gorilla who changed a windscreen on my Superb broke it of course - and thought I wouldn't notice. Forget "Skoda" - any decent VW dealer will have these in stock.

For a RHD vehicle the part number is 3B2 819 415E.

Thanks a lot. My windscreen has developed a crack!

So I think maybe I'm best waiting for autoglass to replace it before I order a new bit.
