r tech stage 2

Featured Replies

Im just about ready to go for a stage remap, just looking about for a front mount intercooler kit at the moment,i have all the other supporting mods,3 inch downpipe with decat, blueflame exhaust with center siliencer removed, forge tip,sai,n249 removed, cai.I currently have a chipped uk remap on my car, been on 5 years and to be fair never had any problems with it,spikes at 18psi and holds 14psi,what i want to know is would r tech be able to remap it with a chipped uk remap currently on it?I would ask them myself but tried for the last 2 days to contact them, phoned loads of times but keeps going onto an answering machine, left a message, but never heard anything back, sent them an email as well, are they on holiday? Also im up in scotland, would i need to travel to them or could i send them my ecu and they could reflash it that way, thanks Graeme

I beleive your ECU could probably be mapped over your current map but can't be 100% sure as certain maps will put a lock onto ECU to not write over, for example I know REVO do this as I have just swapped from REVO to Shark performance map and i had to get the REVO software taken off and map to std before I had Shark map loaded. Persoanlly taking ECU out and posting for a map is not best approach as you or the mapper will not know how the map preforms with the car as generally mappers will perform a data logging to check that no boost, fuelling, timing issues are found.

I also know that some mapper like Shark can send a STS map to the user to load and then verify, but depends on how you are with understanding the map conditions and expectation.

It would be best to contact the mapper to get more info.

Sorry this does not directly answer your question

R Tech are very busy and a very good company for mapping.

You would need to travel to r-tech as nick does his Stage 2 live on rolling road

Yes nick has the tools to do anything buddy you wont go wrong with them i assure you ;-)

As for not answering he has been away and is always mega busy

I am still waiting for a call back off r tech about my car mate and that was 2 weeks ago.

Cntuning you have a pm off me

Following on from this I managed to speak to r tech, they can do it no probs but I need to go there, which I kind of thought, not really practical with me being in Scotland, but just been on shark performance site and they now have a dealer in Scottish borders, going to give them a call tommorow and see what they can offer.
