Quick oil question

Featured Replies

As above, got an oil change very recently.

Normally do it myself - but with the wet Irish summer and being pressed for time I left it into a garage.

Just noticed on the the bottle that they used 10w40 semi-synth (Quantum).

I normally use 5w30 fully synth.

Will the Quantum semi synth be ok to leave in the car?

Thanks.

Both oils are suitable.

Some would argue its the swapping from one to the other and the various additives in the differing oils that breaks down the carbon in the engine which then blocks the pick up.

As long as your changing every 10k you will be fine.
