Question for VRS/Cupra owners

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my mums currently looking at a Seat Leon Cupra with the 1.8 20v engine. Just have a question for any VRS owners (or seat)

When we started the engine it sounded almost like there was an exhaust leak or something. Quite a throaty noise...After about 30 seconds this stopped very suddenly almost as if there was a valve or something that had been opened then shut by the engine. During and after this it idled perfectly and was smooth as anything. Can anyone tell me what this is and whether its something to worry about?

Maybe i'll borrow her car somedays...

Don't panic lol its the Sai pump working and it's perfectly normal

Sent from my Galaxy S2 not a Crapple!

It could may be leaking if not.. no biggy really, you can drill the rivets out and use nuts/bolts for a tighter seal, or just F' it all off

Great stuff guys thanks! I thought I had read about his previously but as I don't own a VRS I hadn't committed it to memory.

Car was lovely and hopefully we will take it for a test drive in a few days time. £1800 12 months mot and 82k miles on the clock. Mmmhhmmm tasty. Car was in great condition with only the gear stick being a bit tatty.
