One I'm looking at at mo just wondered if this unit is any good as very mixed reviews across differant forums.

Just wanted opinions of vrs Tsi drivers with this kit as good price.

I have one in the garage waiting to be fitted!

Have ITG panel filter at the moment, when this was fitted I noticed no difference from standard whatsoever, was at least expecting slight increase in induction noise!

I ordered the pipercross stage 2 pipe today get that on over weekend just need to decide which Cai/filter now

I researched this before getting mine but didn't find any before and after proven figures. The gains from CAIs are relatively modest and most people use one as it's a requirement for stage 2. Mine gives a bit more induction noise, makes the car feel slightly more responsive and urgent, and it seems to pull a little better at the top end.

So u have definately noticed a differance over your old panel filter then.

I think so but I'm just used to it now; it could always be the placebo effect of course.

Fitted the CAI kit last night, using JonnoVRS previously posted photo as the kit contains no instruction whatsoever!!

Am i right in assuming the 10mm hole in bottom of the 'bell' is a water drain?

Looks so much better under the bonnet tho!

Very minor induction noise increase and seems to pull better higher up the rev range, tho even before the change the power never ceased to make me grin!!

Conclusion....... inconclusive performance wise but looks better!

Yes it's a water drain. Mine didn't come with fitting instructions either.

as I said, its only an Intake, and on Stage 1 its benefits are less noticable, it def helps though and my TSI was 260HP on stage 1 with Intake fitted on an accurate (as they can be) set of rollers
