vagcom faults loss of boost

Featured Replies

hello,

I am from Greece owner of Octavia Gt 1.8 T 193HP (AUM) !lately my car does crazy things! When i am driving at 60-70km/h steady it is making as if it has a hiccup!it is like leaving-pressing accelerator rapidly !

The rpm meter goes up and down all time when is out of gear! at a vag-com check i took these results

16622/P0238/000568 - Manifold Pressure/Boost Sensor (G31): Signal too High

17608 (P0343) - Boost pressure control valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction

Also the fuel consumption with full throttle is steady 18.3 l/h never higher as it had to be!

can anyone plz help me what to check?

I'd go for the n249 valve being faulty as a rough guess off what you've written so far. I'm sure a more vag experienced person will be along soon.

i have already new n279 but nothing changed! still same faults on

Is the diverter valve OK?, it should hold vacuum if you test it. It may be a faulty air mass meter, disconnect the air mass meter and try it.

i have disconnected it !car is more steady now but still no boost
