My FK's..... since fitting them when I go down my drive which is a ****ty old lane something creaks really bad, but on the road and cornering is fine... Also makes a tapping creaking sound when turning at stand still comes through the steering.

Did you use new strut top bearings? If the old ones were on way out this may have finished em off, doesn't sound bad but isn't really normal

They are not expensive so I would go to skoda for a pair strut top mount bearings. That should deal with the steering related creaking tapping bonging. Other creams may just be result of stiffer suspension

standard top mounts are 35 each on ebay, cant find them on eurocarparts

you wont necessarily need the mounts just the mount bearing itself, sits under the mount
