I think me fabia vrs is broken my turbo cut out and in went into limp mode ( i pulled over and noticed that the little hole on the egr valve had been spewing quite alot of oil. I turned the engine back on and everything was back to normal so i drove home and cleaned the egr vavle out and checked the pipes to the turbo and all was ok. This was about a week ago and she still driving fine so is my turbo on its way out i dont no what to do dont want to sell sally skoda she's mint haha

oil out of this area is normal, the intercooler is usually holding oil to a degree.

If you drive hard can you make it go into limp mode? usually the sticky vanes problem goes like this,: revs over 3-3.5k =limp mode, poss also heavy acceleration in top gear =limp mode. Usually returns to normal after a restart.

If this happens it doesnt need a new turbo just follow this guide:

thanks for the info mate a cleaned the egr valve out with oven cleaner after it happened and its been no bother since hope thats the end of it
