Hi all. I've just had someone hit the side of my vrs on a roundabout and want the car sorting ASAP. Thankfully no one has been hurt just damage to the rear bumper. Does anyone know how much a second hand bumper would be as I'm being quoted about £200 ish for a respray. Just want my car back to normal ASAP. Oh it's silver of that helps?

have a look on ebay, get one the same colour as it'll save you cash on painting.

you'll probably pay a premium for a vrs bumper over a standard octy bumper tho, the only difference is the cut out for the exhaust, so just buy a standard bumper and cut the hole yourself!

should be able to get a decent bumper for £50, maybe less

Update here guys, I've spoken to the lady that hit me and she has thought things through and offered to pay for a spray job dependant on costs...obviously I want to cover my back on this so will still be looking out for a bumper till this has been sorted.

Thanks for the advice about vrs bumpers...i thought there was more difference than just the cut out.

Hope she pays out m8 a lot of people have had problems. Id go though the insurance myself

Sent from my Galaxy S2 not a Crapple!

Thanks for this mate. I'm away again with work at the moment but someone should be looking at the damage on Wednesday so I can update then if that's ok? If you find a buyer before obviously go ahead and sell as I don't want to mess you around.

Thanks again Gav.

Just to update on this, a quote has been done and I'm booking the repair ASAP. I'm not counting my chickens yet but it seems there are genuine people in the world as the third party are still saying they will pay the costs. :-)
