SUPERB LAURIN & KLEMENT TDI 2.0 2007

Hi,

I have been offered this car for £4,000

It has 112k on the clock but the engine has been completely rebuilt with new bottom end and the problem sorted that goes with the bottom end of the 2.0 TDi

It has had new water pump/timing belt done with the rebuild at 110k

It had a few marks around it that could do with some attention and needs a dam good valet inside (cigarettes, yuk)

I need a good solid tow car for my family and caravan and have liked Skodas for years.

I was surprised by the road tax, £195 for the year! My Renault Laguna (engine blown) was only £130

Is the 2.0 TDi a bad engine? It only has one cam, I've been told most have two.

The car is owned by a guy that fixes Skodas for a living at a independent Skoda garage in Leeds (Skoda Land) so should know what he is talking about.
