Hi, I'm returning to a Skoda, after too many years away.

I previously owned a Fabia vrs in 05 and want to buy another, either an Octy or Fabia.

What are the pros and cons of owning either?

Similar to you I also owned a Fabia vRS in 2006 and was sad to see it go. I now have a FL Octavia vRS and it is by far the best car I have owned (and that includes many BMWs!).

You probably know all about the MK1 Octy vRS's from when you were last on here, The MKII diesel 170's tended to be tempremental when the DPF was added, The FL MKII's diesels are fine.

Usual value for money cars, a quick search will put you to lost of answers as to what to look for if youre buying 2nd hand.
