How much can it take!

Featured Replies

Ok so I'm looking at upgrading my fabia further but it still needs to be reliable. Everything is standard other than the clutch which is stage three paddle clutch and smf. So basically how much can all the other standard components take before they start failing.

What is the spec at the moment?

I have a stage 1 map and would live to go further but doubt I'm going to see much from a FMIC & de-cat. So looks like a hybrid in the future :)

It's 183bhp/283lbsft but Iv heard of a few running standard turbo and intercooler and pushing 230bhp just wandered what the standard parts could take, without blowing loads of money lol

230bhp on a standard turbo, can't say I've ever heard of that, most hybrids only do around 220bhp dont they. The next step for you is really a hybrid then and an intercooler.

Exhaust wise - plenty claim that the standard one is good for over 200bhp!

183bhp is pushing standard turbo to its limits already,to get 230bhp you'd need a hybrid turbo and FMIC. .

sounds fine as it is. If its longevity you want, then where you are is a good compromise, especially in a 2wd motor. Spend your money on handling instead

For a reliable car, 170bhp on the stock turbo is as far as i`d go tbh.

Turbo? £400

new map £300

downpipe and fmic £300

Ha ha a fuc#ing canoe legend lol. Yea mine is quick enough but I just want more lol. Wanted some roof bars if I'm honest think they look cool lol

i have thule fixing point with aero bars, took em off the other day and cant live with the look, so put em back on. Had em on so long it looks wierd without em. noisy at speed though. you need foot pack 753 and mount adapters 3003 for your car, same as mine.
