Brake issue ?

Featured Replies

Ok I've got this weird noise which goes away as soon as I press te brake pedal ... I don't even have to press it all the way ... Even if I just touch the brake pedal the noise goes away ..

It's like a whoosh noise ... Like a steam

Let off ...

No faults in vcds and no difference in the brake performance as far as I can tell ... The dealer says it a not an issue it a a common thing ... But I don't think so ..

Also the noise is there since as long as I can remember but it feels amplified when the outside noise is minimal.

Anyone ?

Dirty brake discs?

I used the brake cleaner spray ... No diff

But it s more inside the cabin ... Like a whoooooooooooosssssshhh sound ... Like some valve has been left open and the air keeps escaping ..

Brake cleaner won't strip rust. Pad and disc are metal and I'm guessing it's rainy season.

Give it a few firm brakes from say 60-70mph down to about 10mph on a clear highway with nobody around.

See if it's still there after that.

If you think something is actually wrong then look at the brake fluid and check all the pipes.

tried the braking bit a couple of times .... Didnt help . !!

Will have a look at the fluid and the pipes .. I tried hearing it closely again .. it sounds as if there is a pressure leak from somewhere ... but if it was that there would def be a difference in the braking ... which there most def isnt ! .

Just a thought does it come from the area around the brake pedal?
