Rear O/S door fails to unlock

Hi

I have a 2003 MK1 fabia with the following problem.

I think the actuator for the remote locking has failed in the rear door and as such the door now fails to unlock with the remote.

My question is how can you unlock these doors manually as when pulling the nib it fails to stay up and hence allow the door to be opened.

Once opened if poss how easy is it to replace the mechanism?
