What's in a name....... (aka what wheels have I got?)

Featured Replies

Have got a '57 Elegance with the huge nut cover thing (i.e. no nuts exposed.)

What is there Skoda name? ("Wheels", or variations thereof, is not the right answer either :p :p)

Oddly, the badges on them appear scuffed, so thought I'd have a go at tracking down new style badges for them.

Cheers

I would be interested to hear how you get on as mine are the same and I wouldn't mind changing the lot if it doesn't cost a fortune

Thanks Mike, they're the ones. :)

The Elegance models have 16 inch Vega alloys fitted as standard. Both mine are Elegances, and both have this style of wheel.

Mike, didn't you just do yours or was it just the main badges on the car?

No, my wheels have been left alone. The only badges I've changed are the old style Octavia and TDI badges on the rear tailgate for the newer facelift style.

The badges don't look as if they are changable on the centre caps, and last time I priced them up, I think, but someone may shout me down here, that they were around £23 each for new centre caps. All 4 on the 54 plate are looking tired, and the ones on the 08plate aren't perfect by any means. But I ain't spedning £200 on centre caps just to tidy badges up!

Of course, I even commented on the post

I did wonder if they would be a bit expensive

Cheers Mike :)

Is that to replace the whole lot and with the new badge or old badge?

They're for the original ones, complete with the rest of the cap. Not a bad price though, might consider that one. :)

Yea not too bad although I quite fancy trying the new badges on the main of the car, decisions!

Your twins are looking good Mike but stickercity on the rear quarter glass
