***SOLD*** - 2003/03 Hybrid Fabia vRS - Track Toy

Going to put a deposit on a Touran tomorrow so Old Faithful is fully up for sale.

A mate locally is taking the decat and exhaust so car will come with a standard exhaust.

Car will be at this price for around 2 weeks I sort out SORN and transfer of Private Plate. If it doesn't sell. I'll break it & transplant some of the good bits.

I have owned the car for 8 years. Heavily modified (see below).

Very reliable, except when my enthusiam has exceeded my knowledge in terms of starting to fit bits and not having the correct tools resulting in a few days "off the road".

Realisticly this is not a daily drive (although it has been mine in it's current state for 2 years plus) and is ripe for someone to put a cage in, add some coilovers and indulge in some seriuos track days for not much outlay as everything else is in place.

So here's the info:

2003/03 Fabia vRS – TRACK TOY – just under 153k miles

First registered July 2003

I'm the 2nd owner in September 2004 at 17k miles bought from (then) Williams Skoda in Bristol with the first being Skoda UK.

Used as a press car and had a track pedigree before my ownership.

Serviced regularly by a mix of VAG indy’s, JKM, UNIT18, TRD, VW Audi Centre Stroud and latterly by a mate on my drive.

Ran an AmD one-click generic remap from around 40k giving +/- 170bhp and 280lb/ft consistently across 4 years of RR days at JKM

Major works carried out at 120k by Turner Race Developments in Stroud – summer 2010

  • A Garret Hybrid Turbo
  • SACHS Clutch
  • SEAT Sport FMIC and pipework
  • EGR delete
  • TRD Remap – to give a good solid 200bhp at my instruction.

RR’d @ SPTuning in Burbage in 2011. Ran 203bhp and 295lb/ft

Radiator replaced in early 2012

DMF replaced in June 2012

Cambelt and waterpump changed at the recommended intervals.

Loads of receipts etc for works carried out.

1 Remote Key – other was lost about 4 years ago.

Mods (good bits):

  • 80% Stripped interior – front door cards, headlining and dash remain
  • The Orginal Retro rebadge on the tail gate circa 2005 - badge from a pre '93 favorit B)
  • 16” Team dynamics Pro Race 1.2’s in Gloss black
  • Garrett Hybird Turbo fitted at 120k miles
  • SACHS Clutch – fitted at 120k miles
  • Allard EGR delete welded to SAMCO one piece boost Hose
  • CCV mod venting to atmosphere underneath car
  • SEAT sport FMIC
  • 312mm front brakes running FERRODO DS2500 pads
  • H&R -40mm lowering springs. OEM Shocks – (rear end looks really high despite springs as there’s no weight in it)
  • MOMO Upper front strut brace
  • OMP lower front strut brace
  • FORGE rear strut brace
  • JABBA Rear anti roll bar
  • POWERFLEX front console & ARB bushes
  • MAGNEX Cat Back exhaust mated to “bolt in” custom decat
  • Standard Exhaust
  • Fresh MOT carried out in August 2012.
  • Car is taxed until March 2013

Bad bits:

  • The “you’ve left your lights on” bong doesn’t work
  • The ventilation flap motors are kaput
  • The A/C is non functional (see above)
  • There is some kerb rash along the bottom edge of the driver’s door
  • Hailstorm (Tennis ball sized) damage to the roof panel
  • Paint is flaking/peeling badly on the front bumper
  • Front end has numerous stone chips from 80k of motorway use
  • Mechanical “knock” from front N/S when pulling away – suspect dog bone mount is failing and block knocking on OMP lower brace
  • Ideally needs new shocks
  • Large paint peel under the Health & Safety sticker on the back bumper
  • Drivers seat R/H bolster is torn and very worn
  • Ariel is missing - robbing barstewards :(

A few pics from over the years. I'll take some up to date ones if there's interest.

A sad day pal, good little car though and very quick! :(

I wouldn't go so far as to say sad, but there comes a time when it's too much of struggle having two kids and only one car with back seats :giggle:

The Roomster however has removable seats...... ;)B)

why o why just now when i lost my job :@

Just a feeler for the moment. if things don't go to plan sourcing an affordable Touran it'll be up again in about 6 months.

@Robshaw, thanks fella. Push may come to shove chap, but some parts of it may live on in another guise ;)
