MF Steering Wheel - Recirculation Symbol Explanation

Featured Replies

Can any of you Octavia experts out there point me to the explanation of the symbol on one of the buttons on the MF steering wheel. I didnt take the phone option so where the manual shows a phone symbol, I have a recirculation symbol (circle with anti clockwise arrows).

Does this do anything or is it simply a blank button in place of phone options.

For clarity it is just above the entry button for the main display menu.

With thanks. T Tallon

Are you talking about the button that switches off the illumination on the steering wheel buttons? Try turning your lights on and push it, see what happens...

Not sure whether it's the same on the Octy but in my Superb this button switches between radio and media - changes the audio source.

EDIT: This picture may help, from the manual:

That button switches between radio and media/CD.

If you have no CD and nothing connected to the media in or SD card in the Bolero then it just causes a "bong" sound when you press it.

Thanks to all for pointing me in the right direction - I have now found it in the manual under "Multimedia" as you say to change the source of the audio output.
