  1. Had a Superb 2 with the 140CR diesel. Great car. Commute was one hour, 95% motorway. Never had any issue for 6 years. I then changed jobs. Commute became 15 minutes, no motorway at all. Within 2 months I had to go and do forced DPF regen on the highway. Within another month I had injector failure. You can mock me, but I honestly thought I could feel the car was not happy. It really seemed to 'miss' it's usual commute... 3 months after that I swapped it for a Superb 3 150 petrol.
  2. I went to the insurance and the garage. RIP. Mr pheasant! At first sight nothing major, just the foglight access panel was popped out. Nothing looked wrong, popped right back in. Next day in daylight however... Little bits of plastic fell out...then I checked the center grille...yep...cracked...
  3. Have you tried it with the CC stalk pulled towards you? Don't know your spec, does the car have lane assist and adaptive cruise? Also you could try going into infotainment and resetting everything, it might be a setting.... One issue I've read about was someone messing about with the cruise control lowest speed threshold in vcds, and cruise could not be enabled because the car basically never was in the correct parameters
  4. Have you checked the car for error codes? Might point you in the right direction. Dealer or independent garage might charge a fee, or find a local member with vcds/vagcom diagnose software.
  5. Ah yes I'm in Belgium, maybe they are not available over there. Will also add that I would also prefer the 2.0, but in Belgium they are very expensive in tax so not an option...
  6. I have an S3 estate L&K with the 1.5 DSG, excellent mileage and enough poke for me, but I'm a relaxed driver. Researched the DQ200 box before purchase. Not too worried about it, but I have budgeted fluid changes of the 'sealed for life' unit. If you are looking for a car, I'd prioritize general condition, service history, engine size, options, color. In that order. If you want to avoid all parts that can break, well, you will never buy a car. Also be weary there are some frustrated people on this board who had bad experiences with their Skoda, and they spend their free time in every thread extolling the virtues of brand Z or Y. Alternatively, they always go for the 'Skoda should do this' or 'nobody should buy this car', etc. They also love to change usernames every once a while. Bit sad really, used to be a fun place this. Good luck with the search!
  7. S3C L&K 1.5 with DSG7 here, lots of short runs in crap weather with crap traffic and winter tires, 44MPG across the board. Summertime closer to 47/8. Happy as a clam with the engine and gearbox combo. Quiet and refined, with just enough poke to overtake if needed. Had several 2.0 diesels before, loved the torque but with my current mileage just not worth it from new.
  8. It's the remote for your auxiliary heater. Basically you can 'pre-heat' your car using the remote or an app or set a scheduler somewhere in the settings menu so your car heats up before a certain time. More info in your manual Or look HERE or watch THIS

  10. x2 I had a bad experience with carsequipment...better to avoid...A real shame, I used to buy lots from them... Goed gedaan trouwens, mede-Belg
  11. Is it the MY2019 in your profile? Dealer visit I think. Ask for a tech to ride along, identify the rattle and say "THAT needs to be gone". Also make sure the surrounding trim isn't scratched or broken after collection. If you want to try to solve it yourself (I wouldn't recommend) you can try wedging a piece of soft foam between the edges to stop a rattle or a buzz. Licenseplate tape works (foam with sticky backing), cut to size...
  12. Not at all, and same here Who knows, maybe one day you'll be back (or I will move the Volvo side 😇 ) ((totally not configuring a V90 online at the moment 😍 ))
  13. Corrected. I hope you really enjoy your new car (still jealous! ) and enjoy the Volvo forums.
  14. I guess. I've got my car for a year now, and I've been flashed once…there's a mighty steep hill near where I live. I came over the hill and the nose swung down. Below was a car coming, the camera was literally looking straight up at the sky so no time to adapt, and he flashed. I still think this was someone who saw highbeams approaching from behind the hill before he ever saw my car, and as soon as he saw my car with the highbeams on he flashed. I disabled the system, but I wonder if the car would have actually been fast enough to adapt when we finally were pointing at eachother. I think yes. Great system, within reason.
  15. @JackySi Have you seen this? Can you compare this to your experiences in your Superb? Same? Better? Worse?
